Job summary

St. Paul’s, part of Trinity Health Senior Communities, is seeking a hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to keep our community safe, comfortable, and well‑maintained. You’ll handle general maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks across facilities, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work.

You’ll be mechanically inclined, dependable, and ready to learn. No two days are the same as you respond to resident and staff needs and collaborate with outside contractors when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• HVAC certification preferred but not required.
• Previous maintenance or related hands‑on experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, or mechanical repairs is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Complete general building maintenance and repair work.
• Respond to maintenance work orders and troubleshoot problems.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
• Assist with preventative maintenance on building equipment and systems.
• Repair doors, hardware, fixtures, furniture, flooring, and other building components.
• Help troubleshoot heating and cooling issues.
• Perform routine building and equipment inspections.
• Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and other facility projects.
• Work with outside contractors when specialized repairs are needed.
• Help respond to building emergencies such as water leaks, power outages, or equipment failures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
