Job summary

Granite Properties, Inc. is seeking a Facility Engineer to maintain and operate building systems across multiple properties in the Dallas area. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and proactive maintenance aligned with Granite’s standards.

The candidate will handle mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety tasks, participate in on-call rotations, and collaborate with Construction and Property Management teams to support tenant improvements and operational budgets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• 3–5 years of related industry experience.
• Licenses and certifications for electrical, mechanical, and safety training preferred.
• Desire to develop and increase technical skills through ongoing training.
• Willingness to obtain Granite-designated licenses for advancement.
• Ability to work overtime, participate in on-call rotations, and respond to emergencies.
• Reliable transportation to travel to various properties within the market.
• General computer skills with Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of building systems, operating lease requirements, inspection processes, and maintenance of systems.
• Perform operational activities and ensure reliability of building systems.
• Work on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems; conduct related tasks.
• Perform general building repairs and maintenance (ceilings, lighting, roofing, doors, etc.).
• Update departmental records per supervisor guidelines.
• Handle on-call duties with prompt communication to the property team.
• Provide building expertise to Construction and Property Management teams during tenant improvements or capital projects.
• Assist with budgets, inspections, repairs, and operations to avoid disturbances to customers.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
