Job summary

• COMMUNICATION SKILLS - Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
• FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE - Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
• REASONING ABILITY - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
• OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES - Uses PC/PDA for work order system, email and training. Basic MS Office skills.
• SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY - Decisions with general procedures to achieve results and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Complies with codes, regulations, agency and Company directives related to building operations and safety.
• Inspects building systems (fire alarms HVAC plumbing) to ensure operation matches design and environment requirements.
• Oversees outside contractors and contracted work (landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC).
• Performs repairs, emergencies and preventive maintenance; maintains records.
• Reviews work orders, estimates time/materials, orders supplies to complete tasks.
