Job summary

The Standard is seeking a Building Engineer II to maintain safety, comfort, and reliability across our Portland-area commercial properties. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building automation, while responding to tenant service requests.

This role collaborates with vendors and property teams, participates in on-call rotations, and may require travel between sites.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience as a Building Engineer or related facilities maintenance role.
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and BAS/BMS.
Proficiency with CMMS or building management software.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied environments.
Willingness to travel between Tanasbourne and Portland-area properties and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and BAS systems.
Respond to tenant service requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Monitor and operate building systems, including HVAC and lighting controls.
Support facilities projects by coordinating with vendors and overseeing work.
Conduct building inspections and assist with vendor and regulatory walk-throughs.
