Job summary

Lincoln Property Company in Rockville, MD is seeking a Building Engineer I to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. You will perform routine maintenance and respond to tenant requests under the guidance of senior engineers.

This position is 100% in-office with standard business hours; no remote work. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of related experience, applicable licenses, and BAS familiarity.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of related building engineer experience.
• Licenses as required by local, state, or national regulations.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
• Address service requests from tenants, including hot/cold calls and lighting repairs.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and escalate as needed.
• Maintain records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Ensure safety compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA regulations; report hazards.
• Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers; support senior engineers.
