Job summary

Facade Today is seeking a hands-on Building Engineer to maintain and operate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems in commercial office properties. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct routine inspections across multiple trades.

The role requires work on commercial assets with overtime and on-call availability as needed to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
Minimum 4 years of building maintenance experience and/or completion of an accredited trade school program in HVAC, electrical, or related field.
Working knowledge of commercial HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems.
Ability to safely operate and maintain building equipment including chillers, generators, switchgear, pumps, and air handling units.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on HVAC systems and related equipment.
Monitor building systems and document readings; address issues as needed.
Troubleshoot electrical systems, including circuits, breakers, outlets, and lighting components.
Maintain and repair plumbing systems such as faucets, toilets, pumps, and valves.
Inspect and respond to life safety systems; maintain inspection logs.
Perform general building repairs (doors, security systems, painting, drain clearing).
Read mechanical drawings and record tenant utility meter readings as required.
Respond to tenant service requests promptly and professionally.
