Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; able to lift 50 lbs; use ladder or aerial equipment; valid driver’s license; meet university driver eligibility.
  • Electrician I: Ability to follow instructions; strong communication; attention to detail; time management; basic tool operation; State of Nebraska Apprentice Electrical License or ability to obtain upon employment.
  • Electrician II: Minimum 4 years experience, Journeyman license, knowledge of NFPA 70/72, testing device operation, ability to read blueprints.
  • Electrician III: Minimum 4 years experience, strong documentation, project management, understanding of construction principles.

Responsibilities

  • Install, alter, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, lighting, access control, fire alarm, and automation systems.
  • Interpret schematic drawings and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Work on a rotating on-call schedule.
