Job summary
Michigan State University College of Engineering seeks a Building Systems Efficiency Supervisor to lead a multi-craft team focused on energy performance of campus buildings. The role oversees Planon and Power BI-based project work, develops ECM lists, and partners with academics, consultants, and utilities to maximize MSU energy savings.
Responsibilities include estimating, designing, directing, and inspecting complex systems across campus facilities, plus managing payments and coordinating
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree in mechanical, electrical, HVAC/energy or related field.
- 8+ years of operations, facilities management, or energy analysis experience.
- Experience with energy conservation measures (ECM) and project management.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex multi-craft projects in Planon and Power BI, including estimating and scheduling.
- Provide control system estimating and SME technical assistance for building services.
- Oversee daily operations of the Building Systems Efficiency Team and ECM compilation.
- Lead energy initiatives with utilities, campus researchers, and industry partners.
- Support planning and construction with HVAC controls and energy related system retrofits.
