The City of San Diego is seeking a Building Supervisor to oversee maintenance and custodial staff, inspect work, and liaise with contractors and City trades personnel. The role includes coordinating facility setups for meetings and events, managing staffing and budgets, and training subordinates.

Building Supervisor positions supervise and assign other facility maintenance and custodial personnel; inspect semi-skilled repair and custodial work; review and respond to complaints and requests from occupants or tenants regarding facility maintenance; maintain liaison with service contractors, vendors and City trades personnel; coordinate the set‑up and arrangement of facilities for meetings and special events; maintain facility staffing and maintenance budgets; keep records; train and rate the work of subordinates; and perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: Three years of full-time experience performing building repair and maintenance work in a public or commercial facility requiring on-going, regular, semi-skilled carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, and custodial work.
LICENSE: A valid California Class C Driver License is required at the time of hire.
