City of San Diego is seeking a Building Supervisor to oversee facility maintenance and custodial staff, inspect repairs, and coordinate the setup for meetings and events. The position requires managing budgets, keeping records, and training staff to ensure quality service.
A valid California Class C Driver License is required; candidates should have three years of full-time building repair and maintenance experience. Some roles may involve standby/night shifts and bilingual pay where applicable.

Building Supervisor positions supervise and assign other facility maintenance and custodial personnel; inspect semi-skilled repair and custodial work; review and respond to complaints and requests from occupants or tenants regarding facility maintenance; maintain liaison with service contractors, vendors and City trades personnel; coordinate the set-up and arrangement of facilities for meetings and special events; maintain facility staffing and maintenance budgets; keep records; train and rate the work of subordinates; and perform other duties as assigned.
Eligible benefitted employees originally hired on or after July 10, 2021, will be automatically enrolled in the San Diego City Employees Retirement System (SDCERS).
Three years of full-time experience performing building repair and maintenance work in a public or commercial facility requiring on-going, regular, semi-skilled carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, and custodial work.
A valid California Class C Driver License is required at the time of hire.
