Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a talented structural engineer to work on building and facility projects along the East Coast. The role involves design from framing layout to construction administration, performing calculations, and developing construction documents in Revit.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license, 4+ years of experience, and familiarity with RAM/RISA/ETABS or SAP2000, plus strong proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• 4+ years of building/facility structural engineering experience.
• Proficiency in structural design codes and software for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
• Experience producing construction documents.
• Knowledge of Revit; familiarity with RAM, RISA, ETABS or SAP2000.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Work within a multidiscipline design team to support structural efforts.
• Perform framing layout, design calculations, and detailing for reports and construction documents.
• Develop construction documents using Revit.
• Design projects per client specs using design software.
• Prepare engineering documents for advertisement and construction.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams to meet deadlines and quality.
