Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a talented structural engineer to join our team in Charleston, SC. You will design building and facility projects from framing layouts to construction administration, working within a multidisciplinary group to serve public and private clients along the East Coast.

The ideal candidate will have a 4+ year track record in structural engineering, a PE license, and proficiency with Revit, RAM, ETABS or SAP2000.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited engineering bachelor’s degree required.
Professional Engineer license.
4+ years’ experience in building/facility structural engineering.
Proficient in design codes and software for structural systems.
Experience producing construction documents.
Knowledge of Revit or willingness to learn Revit.
Exposure to RAM/ETABS/SAP2000 analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Work within a multidiscipline design team to support the structural engineering effort.
Perform framing layout, design calculations, and detailing for reports and construction documents.
Develop construction documents using Revit.
Design projects in accordance with client specs and guidelines using design software.
Prepare engineering documents for advertisement and construction.
Coordinate with internal/external team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.
