Hallmark in Lawrence, KS is seeking a Building Specialist (courier and facilities) to join the 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 7:30am–3:30pm). You will move materials, set up meeting rooms, manage waste, and support daily plant objectives while maintaining safety and high service levels.

The role requires a Class A forklift license, strong time management, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment at a climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate multiple computer systems.
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform frequent reaching and repetitive hand/wrist motions.
  • Ability to perform some walking, bending, stooping and heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds).

This Building Specialist(courierand facilities)position is a 1st shift opportunity. Your schedule would be Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm. You aresubject toon-callhours,determinedby leadership.

This roleis responsible fora diverse range of responsibilities that primarily support the Facility Services team and overall site operations. Success in this position requires strong time management, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Building Specialist must be adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of responding to changing business needs whilemaintaininga high levelof service, safety, and operational excellence.

In thisrole you will:

  • The Building Specialist is proficient in a wide variety of skills associated with operating powered industrial equipment andmaintainsa Class A Forklift License. This roleis responsible forsupporting facility operations through material movement, meeting room setup, waste and recycling collection, lounge andcommon areasupply management, and general building support activities.Employeewill also hold a company credit card forpurchasingrelated to the role.
  • The Building Specialist will drive an estimated 110 miles per dayon average.
  • The Building Specialist performs a broad range of facility management functions to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained work environment. Responsibilities may include responding to facility-related issues during inclement weather events, coordinating snow and ice mitigation efforts, supporting emergency response activities, conducting routine facility inspections, andassistingwith building maintenance projects. The role may also require work at heightsutilizingappropriate safetyequipment and procedures to perform inspections, maintenance coordination, or facility-related tasks.
  • The incumbent works effectively with managers, co-workers, contractors, and external service providers while alsodemonstratingthe ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a commitment to safety are essential, as facility needs can vary daily. The Building Specialist is expected to work overtime as needed and serves as a contributing member of the team by supporting operational and facility-related initiatives throughout the site.
  • Teamwork,cooperationand flexibility, along with LEAN principles of problem solving and elimination of waste are expectations of the position. Additionally, every employeeis responsible fortheir personal safety, as well as the safety of their peers. Adherence of established safety policies and procedures, along with the reporting of all injuries andunsafeconditions,are also requirements of this position.The businessneeds of the department may require additions or changes to the duties of this position.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
