Albemarle County Public Schools in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Project Manager for Building Services to oversee feasibility, design, construction, and close‑out of school projects. Depending on experience, the role may be filled as Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.

The position requires coordinating with design teams, contractors, and county departments, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality align with policies and standards. This role emphasizes leadership and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a four-year degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Experience managing building construction or renovation projects with knowledge of CPM/scheduling and budgeting.
• OSHA-10 for Construction or equivalent certification preferred within six months.

Responsibilities

• Performs project management responsibilities for small Capital projects.
• Manages day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects in different phases.
• Oversees compliance with Facilities Development policies and procedures.
• Develops and refines budgets and tracks project expenditures in real-time.
• Leads project meetings and maintains minutes for continuity.
