Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Administration is seeking a Building Services Manager in St. Paul. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose application materials clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position.

  • One year of supervisory experience that includes providing clear verbal and written work direction, mentoring and developing staff, conducting performance evaluations, addressing performance or conduct issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a collaborative internal working group to develop and implement standardized procedures and training programs.
  • Demonstrated experience writing clear, concise correspondence, reports, procedures, training materials, or other professional documents.
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning skills sufficient to coordinate multiple priorities and lead workgroups.
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing or updating procedures, training materials, or position descriptions.
  • Janitorial experience, including knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, workplace safety practices, and proper chemical handling procedures.
Physical Requirements

A pre-employment physical (CRT test requirement minimum is light-medium, ex: able to lift 13-21 lbs. frequently 100-300 reps an hour).

Additional Requirements

Successful applicants must pass a criminal background check through American DataBank and employment reference checks, a state tax background check through the MN Department of Revenue prior to employment.
