Job summary

Related Management Company is seeking a reliable Porter to help keep our Chicago community clean, safe, and welcoming. The role supports the building from the ground up—inside and out—by maintaining common areas, assisting with move-ins, and upholding high standards.

Responsibilities include grounds maintenance, cleaning and detailing, building maintenance support, and assisting with events. The position offers local union benefits and a schedule of morning/afternoon shifts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates reliability and a can-do attitude.
• Experience in janitorial or porter roles is preferred.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sweep sidewalks, terraces, lobbies, and hallways; empty trash and recycling; respond to spills and safety hazards.
• Clean and polish floors, glass, mirrors, brass, and woodwork; perform deep cleaning as needed; maintain laundry room, fitness center, and offices; report any damage.

Skills

Strong work ethic

Janitorial/porter/cleaning experience

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
