Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking an Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems at a Washington, DC office/retail building. The role is full-time, on-site with a 1:30pm–10:00pm shift and an on-call rotation.

You will manage work orders in CMMS, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and participate in safety and training programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry
• Trade school education, union training or college is desirable
• Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders up to 30 feet
• Strong customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and inspections of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
• Complete assigned tasks (painting, lighting maintenance, plumbing, water treatment, locksmith work) and maintain CMMS work orders
• Troubleshoot building systems (electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls) and support on-call or emergency responses
• Adhere to safety procedures and participate in ongoing training
• On-site presence required
