SAFEbuilt has the technical expertise to provide Community Development services. We are seeking a Building Official to join a team of professionals, offering opportunities for dynamic, motivated self-starters on a variety of assignments.

The role involves ensuring code compliance, managing plan reviews, inspections, and client communication across multiple projects within a region, supported by strong benefits and career progression.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of local building code regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Solid computer skills and experience with MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment.

Responsabilités

• Meet all state and locally mandated code compliance and reporting requirements.
• Apply building codes, policies, and procedures to day-to-day functions of the building department.
• Serve as primary liaison with clients and ensure high levels of customer service.
• Attend department and community meetings as required by the client.
• Perform plan reviews for commercial and residential structures.
• Provide inspection support as needed.
