Job summary

Hatherly Elementary School in Scituate, Massachusetts seeks a Building Mentor to support beginner teachers in their second and third year. The mentor will attend induction program support meetings and serve as a resource for new staff.

The role requires at least three years of teaching experience, strong content knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. This is a STA Internal position with a stipend.

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• Three years of teaching experience required.

• Demonstrate outstanding teaching reflecting strong content knowledge.
• Provide documentation of mentor training completion.
• Be an effective classroom instructor with a rating of at least proficient.

• Be an effective communicator and problem solver when working with adults.
• Demonstrate a variety of pedagogical strategies and methods.
• Teach to diverse learning styles.
