Job summary

Garver is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Buildings to join the Buildings Group in the Oklahoma City area. You will lead planning, design, and commissioning of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, with energy modeling and sustainability reporting.

You will coordinate with other disciplines and regional offices, mentor staff, manage budgets and schedules, and use BIM (Revit) to produce construction drawings. Some travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or architectural engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam passed.
• 5–10 years of building design and construction industry experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles related to building designs.
• Experience overseeing mechanical designs with detailed plans and specifications.
• Proficient with Autodesk Revit.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and commissioning of building mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection).
• Coordinate with other disciplines and regional offices.
• Assist project managers in project management and scheduling.
• Follow QA/QC plans and ensure quality standards.
• Travel to project sites as required.
