Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering with a mechanical focus from an ABET accredited university or college.
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam
• 5-10 years of building design and construction industry experience
• Knowledge base of mechanical engineering principles related to building mechanical designs
• Proven experience overseeing mechanical designs, including detailed plans and specifications for building projects
• Technically competent in building mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with Autodesk Revit
• Proficient with MS Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs for Building HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Lead planning, design, and commissioning of building systems.
• Coordinate with support disciplines and regional offices.
• Assist project managers in project management.
• Follow QA/QC plans.
• Travel to project sites as required.
• Produce construction drawings using BIM design software.
• Perform design calculations using Excel-based tools.
