Carter Lumber in Johnsonville, SC is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead shop operations, ensure accurate material preparation, and deliver excellent customer service.

You will manage inventory, coordinate deliveries, train staff, and uphold safety and efficiency, aligning with our mission and goals. This is a full-time role requiring supervisory experience in building materials and MiTek knowledge.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a building materials environment.
• Has warehouse and truck loading experience.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to direct and train others effectively as a team member.
• Familiarity with building materials.
• Ability to participate effectively as a team member.
• 2-3 years MiTek management required.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Meets and greets contractors and do-it-yourselfers; assists with selection and loading; directs deliveries.
• Operations: Maintains inventory; conducts cycle counts; ensures correct material is shipped and received; enforces safety and procedures.
• Knowledge and Training: Identifies growth needs; completes training; supports employee career development.
• Staff Management: Sets direction; handles hiring, communication, motivation, discipline; ensures goals are met.
