Job summary

US LBM is seeking a Store Manager to direct all store operations in our Chippewa Falls, WI location. You will lead sales, service, purchasing and manufacturing activities to maximize productivity and profitability, while guiding a team of managers and supervisors.

Responsibilities include inventory oversight, cost control, safety leadership, and ensuring on-time deliveries. The role requires 3–5 years of related management experience and strong knowledge of building materials and lumber products.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of management experience in a related industry.
• Knowledge of building materials and dimensional lumber products.
• Strong leadership and staff development capabilities.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service.
• Ability to monitor inventory, costs and safety.

Responsibilities

• Manages and directs all store operations and personnel including sales, service, purchasing and manufacturing while ensuring maximum productivity and profitability.
• Assigns, instructs, trains and provides directions to managers and supervisors in the performance of their jobs.
• Reviews personnel assignments with managers and supervisors; allocates tasks based on production and sales plans.
• Monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient quantities of material are available for customers.
• Oversees profitability of sales activities and ensures best sales practices.
• Acts as safety officer for the store; conducts safety audits and participates in monthly safety meetings.
• Sets operational goals and develops work schedules to meet them; ensures on-time delivery and job completion.
• Reviews various reports (sales, production, expenses, labor, attendance) to manage store performance.
• Monitors equipment operation; ensures preventative maintenance schedules.
• Works with customers to promote sales, resolves issues and ensures satisfactory outcomes.
• Monitors costs and establishes cost controls.
• Performs personnel management duties including training, hiring, termination, performance reviews and wage recommendations; ensures policy compliance.
• Monitors work performance and quality assurance; coordinates workflow between departments.
