Job summary

Dixieline Lumber & Home Centers, part of Builders FirstSource, seeks an Outside Sales support role to assist in selling building products and services to businesses and individuals. The role involves visiting customers at offices, stores, showrooms, or at their location and assisting the sales team with lead generation and order processing.

The candidate should have a certificate or related sales experience, strong communication, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related selling experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
• Travels throughout assigned territory with outside Sales Representative to call on customers.
• Displays or demonstrates product and emphasizes salable features.
• Quotes prices and prepares sales contracts for orders.
• Estimates date of delivery to customer.
• Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
• Tracks stock levels.
• Enters new customer data and other sales data into database.
• Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
• Attends trade shows.
