Job summary

Lone Star Materials, Inc. - San Antonio is seeking an Inside Sales professional to provide product knowledge on drywall, insulation, metal studs for drywall, ceiling systems, stucco, construction tools, safety items, drywall compound, and accessories for the drywall industry.

You will take orders at the sales counter and over the phone, build relationships with customers, use the company computer system to enter orders, and collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers to drive sales

Qualifications

• Must be a team player with attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years of related inside sales or building-materials experience preferred.
• Experience with building materials industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take orders at the sales counter and over the phone.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Enter orders using the company computer system.
• Complete sales orders and tender cash sales.
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers with purchases.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers to determine strategic sales approaches.
• Overcome objections of prospective customers.
• Quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms/reports.
