Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a delivery driver responsible for loading, transporting and delivering materials to customer sites in a timely, safe, and professional manner. Non-CDL drivers handle products weighing 10,001–26,000 pounds, using handheld devices to ensure compliance with DVIR and HOS.

Responsibilities include securing loads, unloading at sites, maintaining logs, and acting as a courteous liaison with customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, and valid driver’s license.
• Pass MVR report and obtain a DOT medical card within five days of request.
• Have fewer than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years.
• Basic math & measurement skills.
• Ability to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Loads and secures product inside the delivery vehicle.
• Delivers orders to customer sites and unloads materials safely and accurately.
• Verifies order details and maintains delivery logs (weights, mileage, locations).
• Acts as a customer service liaison between BFS and customers.
• Maintains delivery vehicles and performs safety checks; uses DVIR/HOS handheld devices.
• Maintains required trip and safety logs; may handle credit/product return paperwork.
