Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. seeks a dedicated driver to load, transport, and deliver building materials to customer sites. You will adhere to safety rules, verify orders, and provide professional service, using handheld devices to maintain DVIR/HOS compliance.

The role requires a valid license, ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly, and a focus on accuracy and customer satisfaction. Training and competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 21+ years old; valid driver’s license.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pass MVR report.
• DOT medical card within five days of request.
• Less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years.
• Basic math & measurement skills.
• Ability to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure products inside delivery vehicle.
• Deliver orders to customer sites and unload materials safely.
• Verify orders and maintain logs including mileage and weights.
• Serve as customer liaison and resolve issues.
• Keep delivery vehicles clean and perform routine safety checks.
• Use handheld devices to ensure DVIR and HOS compliance.
• Maintain hours of service logs and pre/post trip inspections.
• May perform credit/product return pickups and related paperwork.
• Operate forklift or other material handling equipment to load/unload.
• Observe safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
