Fort Bend County is seeking a maintenance technician to perform mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC repairs, and to monitor general building conditions. The role includes moving furniture, replacing fixtures, and assisting with renovations as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma/GED and about 1 year of related experience, plus good communication skills for interactions with staff and the public.

• 1 year of job-related experience with basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC repairs.
• Good verbal and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with people.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma/GED.
• 1 year job related experience with basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC repairs.
• Good verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills, with ability to deal effectively with people.

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $18.49 - $23.12 hourly based on qualifications

CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
