Job summary

First County Bank is seeking a Building Maintenance Worker to join our Administrative Services team in Stamford. You will perform routine maintenance and repair work across bank facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Work hours are 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

The role requires a high school or vocational diploma and 1–2 years of relevant experience, with basic knowledge of boilers/HVAC and general maintenance skills. Valid driver’s license and insurance are required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of boilers/HVAC and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations such as leaks, flooding, locks, etc.
• Repair and maintain bank facilities in good working order, interior and exterior
• Perform light painting, masonry, carpentry and plumbing; replace ceiling tiles, bulbs, and lights
• Perform light duties as needed and respond to light projects
• Quarterly night lighting inspections
• Stock inventory and assist with moving heavy boxes
• Monitor parking lots for unauthorized vehicles
• Travel to all bank facilities; work indoors/outdoors, boiler/mechanical rooms
• Perform other related duties as assigned

We are currently looking for a Building Maintenance Worker to join our Administrative Services team! This individual will perform routine maintenance and repair work within facility operations. Work Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday

Primary Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergency situations such as leaks, flooding, locks, etc.
• Repair and maintain in good working order and condition, all Bank facilities, both interior and exterior
• Perform light painting, masonry, carpentry and plumbing at all facilities; replacement of ceiling tiles, light bulbs and exit & emergency lights; cleaning of air vents and blowers
• Perform light duties where light moving is required, as directed
• Respond to light plumbing, carpentry, and painting projects as they arise
• Perform quarterly night lighting inspections
• Responsible for stocking inventory; Lifting and moving of heavy boxes required
• Monitor Bank parking lots at 117 and 123 Prospect St. for unauthorized vehicles
• Required to travel to all Bank facilities; work indoor/outdoor, boiler/mechanical rooms as well as non-office areas
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Equivalent to a High school or vocational diploma and 1 to 2 years relevant experience
• Prior experience in an office, business environment, or school setting is preferred
• Basic knowledge of boilers/HVAC
• Basic maintenance, math, language, and reading skills
• Valid drivers license and insurance certificate required
• Moderate lifting required with time spent standing, bending, ladder climbing and walking

  Wage range : $30,000 - $45,000

  Salary commensurate with experience
