Job summary

JLL is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician in Portsmouth, NH, focusing on painting and light carpentry. Work primarily on 2nd and 3rd shifts (Wednesday-Sunday) to preserve aesthetics and structural integrity of commercial facilities, with travel between properties as needed.

The role requires 3–5 years painting/carpentry or an apprenticeship, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely at height.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of painting and carpentry experience or completed apprenticeship.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely at height.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, prime, and paint interior and exterior surfaces; match colors and textures.
• Perform light carpentry tasks including doors, locks, shelving and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot basic building systems and repair minor issues.
• Protect work areas and maintain cleanliness and safety protocols.
• Inspect facilities during shifts and document observations.
• Coordinate with property management for off-hours projects.
