Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a Lead Building Maintenance Technician for the 2nd and 3rd shift (Wednesday through Sunday) in Portsmouth, NH. You will oversee carpentry and painting work, mentor a small team, and coordinate after-hours maintenance to keep facilities operating at peak performance.

The role requires at least 5+ years in commercial painting and carpentry, with leadership experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate a small maintenance team in a fast-paced commercial environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; proficient with work order management and scheduling systems.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record for site-to-site travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the 2nd/3rd shift carpentry and painting team, assigning daily tasks and ensuring quality on non-business hours.
• Perform advanced painting and carpentry work including surface prep, color matching, drywall repair, and plastering.
• Execute light carpentry projects such as door installations, lock repairs, furniture assembly, and fixture mounting across facilities.
• Coordinate evening/overnight maintenance activities with property management, minimizing tenant disruption.
• Troubleshoot basic building systems issues and delegate tasks to team members as needed.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct toolbox talks; ensure PPE and safety measures are followed.
