Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart Inc. in Cedar Park, TX is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician III to maintain and repair HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical equipment, and other facility systems.

This role focuses on ensuring reliable operations across our world class facility and requires hands-on expertise with building maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electrical controls, read schematics, operate shop equipment, and document work

Qualifications

• 2 years heating, air conditioning and ventilation; concrete repair, light electrical work and plumbing experience required
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Maintain refrigeration principles and repair AC equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls on HVAC equipment
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on snow removal equipment and other specialty machines
• Read electrical diagrams and use general shop equipment
• Complete work orders, enter notes, and maintain maintenance records
• Support building repairs to maintain facility

Pay Range: $27.57-34.19 hourly

Rotating Schedule Requirement:

This position follows arotation schedule and requires availability to workevery other weekend. This mid-shift requires the hours of 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

• Be The Expert: Maintain working knowledge of refrigeration principles and tools to operate and repair AC equipment
• Solve: Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls on heating, ventilation and AC equipment
• Preform: Complete regular preventative maintenance on snow removal equipment and other specialty machines
• Be Precise: Maintain working knowledge of reading electrical diagrams/schematics and experience with general shop equipment
• Collaborate: Effectively complete work orders, enter in job notes, and maintain records of maintenance preformed
• Support: Preform all types of building repairs to maintain our world class facility

• Relevant coursework in heating, air conditioning, ventilation, mechanical repair, or carpentry preferred
• 2 years heating, air conditioning and ventilation; concrete repair, light electrical work and plumbing experience required

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs
• Ability to lift, push, pull required weights per established requirements for the department
