Building Maintenance Technician - Embassy Suites by Hilton South Bend at Notre Dame (Finance)

The stunning Embassy Suites by Hilton South Bend at Notre Dame, located in the vibrant Eddy Street Commons, is looking to add a Building Maintenance Technician to its Engineering team. This 164-room property was built in 2018, and we are seeking the right candidate to help maintain its beauty.

The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of building maintenance and electrical systems, a genuine passion for growing and developing their career in engineering, the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, reliability, and good customer service skills. A formal HVAC certification would be a bonus!

Shift Pattern: This is a full-time position requiring full availability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Pay starts at $18/hour and is based on experience.

What will I be doing?

As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility, ensuring outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Your tasks will include:

  • Maintaining the physical functionality and safety of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas
  • Responding promptly and courteously to guest calls and team member work orders to repair machinery and equipment
  • Performing repairs and maintenance such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC, and masonry
  • Conducting inspections for preventive maintenance needs
  • Recording and reporting completed repairs and items needing further attention
