Job summary

The Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, MA is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance across the Institute’s buildings and systems, including carpentry, painting, mechanical, and plumbing work. The position requires either a Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Saturday schedule.

You will be responsible for general carpentry, finishing work, operating and assisting with the Building Management System, HVAC and plumbing tasks, and keeping museum spaces safe,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent preferred.
• Massachusetts plumbing license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on roofs, walls, finishes, and woodwork.
• Carry out general carpentry, painting, and exhibit case work.
• Support HVAC and plumbing systems; monitor belts, oils, leaks.
• Monitor Building Management System as assigned.
• Assist grounds and facilities staff to keep buildings safe and clean.
• Respond to visitor questions courteously and follow safety rules.
