Our client, a manufacturing company in the aerospace industry, seeks an experienced Building Maintenance Technician. This is a 1st shift position offering medical, dental, and retirement benefits.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose problems, repair, and replace parts, test, and make adjustments.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
- Detect faulty operations, defective materials, and report issues to supervision.
- Participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in building/facility maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Professional and positive attitude with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Basic blueprint and schematic reading skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work indoors and outdoors.
- Certificates in related fields are a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Minimal safety hazards; typical of an office environment.
- Sitting, standing, walking throughout the facility, talking, seeing, hearing, feeling, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional overnight travel for support of customer or corporate meetings.
