Job summary

Associa is seeking a Building Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance of common areas within the assigned facility in Myrtle Beach, SC. The role involves performing preventive and general maintenance, supervising staff, and ensuring safety and code compliance.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with trade training, 4 years of journey-level experience in a relevant trade, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, vendors, and emergencies as they arise.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from high school supplemented by trade school programs or military.
• Communication: Must be fluent in English, verbal and written; computer use is required (MS Word & Excel).
• Experience: Four years journey-level experience in at least one relevant trade in a commercial/industrial/facilities operations setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the common areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain all equipment in good working order.
• Maintain a safe environment with proper lighting, signage, and disability access.
• Assist in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of building systems.
• Oversee contractors and inspect completed jobs when needed.
• Maintain pool(s) while adhering to all applicable laws and records.
• Respond to emergencies on a 24 hour basis.
