Job summary

Pulaski County Government's General Services department seeks a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to keep air conditioning and heating systems, electrical and plumbing, and related equipment running safely and efficiently. Qualifications

Completion of high school or GED with vocational training in building maintenance.
Experience in repairing HVAC units and electrical/plumbing duties.
Ability to read instructions and blueprints; dependable and on-call capable.

Responsibilities

Inspect and repair air conditioning and heating units for safe operation.
Monitor boiler operations and repair electrical/plumbing problems.
Perform carpentry tasks and small engine repairs as needed.
Respond to maintenance calls 24 hours on a on-call basis.
Delegate duties to custodial staff in supervisor's absence and assist with monthly reports.
Maintain fountain chemical levels and sprinkler systems; ensure building systems run smoothly.
