Job summary

Tarrant County seeks a skilled maintenance professional to service county buildings, ensuring safe operation and comfort. You will inspect and repair HVAC equipment, handle plumbing tasks, and support general building maintenance while coordinating with contractors.

Strong knowledge of building systems and a TX driver's license are required; supervisory experience is preferred. Overtime and shift work may be involved to meet critical building needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of general maintenance and specialized experience in HVAC, plumbing or electrical.
• Supervisory and training experience preferred.
• Knowledge of A/C, plumbing, electrical and operation of chill water systems and boiler systems.
• Must have knowledge of building operating systems with expertise in one area.
• Valid and current TX driver's license required.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to lift, carry, climb, stoop, walk, stand, sit, work indoors/outdoors with loud equipment, push, and pull. May be exposed to communicable diseases, various parasites, dangerous chemicals and electrical hazards. This position may require overtime, rotating shifts nights, evenings, weekends and holiday work. Candidates must have the ability to pass a criminal background investigation prior to employment.
