Job summary

Oklahoma State University in Stillwater is seeking a facilities maintenance technician for the Vice President for Research (VPR) facilities. You will perform general office, lab, and equipment maintenance and respond to issues to ensure continuous research use.

The role requires availability for overtime and weekly on-call rotation, plus ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. You will interact professionally with customers and colleagues while following safety and PPE guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School/GED completed by start date.
• BMM I requires two years in building trades or 600 hours vocational/tech education.
• BMM II requires three years in building trades or 600 hours plus one year experience.
• BMM III requires four years in building trades or 600 hours plus two years experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general office, lab and equipment maintenance for VPR spaces and equipment.
• Identify, respond to, and repair issues in the VPR space.
• Conduct daily walk-throughs and scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Interact with customers and employees professionally while adhering to regulations and PPE requirements.
