Royal Palms Resort and Spa seeks a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support hospitality operations. You will respond to guest requests, perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pool systems, and help ensure safe, clean resort environments.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong problem-solving, and excellent guest service, with PM shift coverage and weekend availability. This position offers full-time hours and benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years hands-on building maintenance or engineering experience, preferably in hospitality/resort.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pool systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
• Availability for weekends and PM shifts (2:30 pm–11 pm).

STARTS AT 21.00/HOUR - PM Shifts 2:30 pm - 11 pm

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests with professionalism and efficiency
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and resort equipment
• Maintain and monitor the cleanliness, chemical balance, and operation of resort pools and hot tubs
• Participate in emergency response and regular safety compliance training procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance or engineering, preferably in a hospitality or resort environment
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pool systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
• Must be available to work weekends as well as PM shifts (typically 2:30 pm- 11 pm)
