Job summary

Hyatt House Salt Lake City Downtown is seeking a Building Maintenance Assistant to support upkeep across the property. The role involves responding to maintenance requests, performing preventive tasks in guest rooms, and assisting with pool and common areas to uphold brand standards.

The position offers morning or evening shifts with Monday–Friday, weekends and holidays required. Starting pay is $19.00–$21.00 per hour, with higher wages possible for experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Hotel maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building construction.
• Ability to operate common power and hand tools.
• Ability to perform task-oriented repetitive functions consistently, on-time and error free.
• Ability to be patient and creatively problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and support upkeep of the property.
• Perform guest room preventative maintenance (painting, battery replacement, smoke detector checks, HVAC cleaning).
• Maintain grounds, landscaping, outbuildings and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe and attractive manner.
• Assist in maintaining pool, spa and general area of the property according to local codes and brand standards.
• Promptly respond to reports of guest problems and concerns.

How You'll Make an Impact

Our detail-oriented Building Maintenance Assistant responds to maintenance requests, and supports the overall upkeep of the property.
