Job summary

Hyatt House Salt Lake City Downtown is seeking a Building Maintenance Assistant to support ongoing upkeep and safety across the property. The role involves responding to maintenance requests and performing preventative tasks in guest rooms, from painting to HVAC cleaning, while contributing to a clean grounds environment.

Flexible shifts are available, with morning and evening options. Prior hotel maintenance is preferred, and the hotel offers growth and mentorship aligned with our core values.

Qualifications

• Hotel, building or apartment maintenance experience is desirable.
• General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building construction.
• Operation knowledge of common power and hand tools.
• Ability to perform task-oriented repetitive functions consistently, on-time and error free.
• Patient and creatively problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and support overall upkeep.
• Perform guest room preventative maintenance such as painting, battery checks, smoke detector checks and HVAC cleaning.
• Maintain grounds, landscaping, outbuildings and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe and attractive manner.
• Assist in maintaining pool, spa and general area of the property according to local codes and brand standards.
• Promptly respond to reports of guest problems and concerns.

How You'll Make an Impact

Our detail-oriented Building Maintenance Assistant responds to maintenance requests, and supports the overall upkeep of the property.
