Courtyard Happy Valley Phoenix North in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Building Maintenance Assistant. The role involves responding to maintenance requests and supporting the upkeep of guest areas, with a starting wage of $20/hour.

You must be available for a mix of AM and PM shifts, five days a week, including weekends. The position requires at least 1 year of building maintenance experience and familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing basics, plus the use of common tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of building maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform task-oriented, repetitive duties accurately.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, plumbing concepts and building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and assist in overall upkeep of the property.
• Perform guest room preventative maintenance such as painting, battery replacement, smoke alarm checks and HVAC cleaning.
• Maintain grounds, landscaping, outbuildings and parking areas in a clean, safe condition.
• Assist with pool, spa and general area maintenance according to local codes and brand standards.

How You'll Make an Impact

Our detail-oriented Building Maintenance Assistant responds to maintenance requests, and supports the overall upkeep of the property.

• Performs guest room preventative maintenance duties such as painting, battery replacement, smoke detector checks andHVAC cleaning
• Maintains the grounds, landscaping, outbuildings and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe and attractive manner
• Assists in maintaining pool, spa and general area of the property according to specific local codes and brand standards
• Promptly responds to reports of guest problems and concerns

To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Bring

• Prior hotel, building or apartment maintenance experience is desirable, but not necessary
• General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building construction
• Operation knowledge of common power and hand tools
• Ability to perform task-oriented repetitive functions consistently, on-time and error free
• Ability to be patient and creatively problem solve
