Job summary

Executive-Personal-Computers, Inc. in Wright City, MO is seeking a Building Maintenance service worker to perform routine facility maintenance and repairs. Starting wage is $24.00/hour, with opportunities to contribute to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building upkeep.

The role requires forklift training, hands-on tool use, and the ability to work independently while prioritizing tasks and ensuring safety. This is an hourly, full-time position with benefits and stability.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Successful completion of the Company's internal Forklift Operator Training and Safety Program.
  • Working knowledge of building and facility maintenance practices, including basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and repair work.
  • Proficiency in safely using common hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and complete maintenance related tasks.
  • Ability to recognize maintenance or safety concerns and determine when additional assistance or a qualified service provider is required.
  • Capacity to work independently, prioritize assignments, manage time effectively, and respond to changing maintenance needs.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot routine facility and equipment issues.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders, and work in confined or limited-access areas when necessary.
  • Position includes sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine facility maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs to building systems, grounds, and facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and complete basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repair work within the scope of training and experience.
  • Inspect HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems to identify maintenance needs or potential issues and coordinate repairs when necessary.
  • Identify and respond to facility-related safety, security, and maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on facility-specific equipment, tools, and machinery.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and minor mechanical repairs on company vehicles within the scope of training and experience.
  • Assist with maintaining the overall condition, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the facility and grounds.

Experience and/or Education Preferred:

  • Previous experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, or similar position.
  • Hands-on experience performing basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or general building repairs.
  • Experience operating forklifts and scissor lifts within OSHA standards.
  • Familiarity with operating commercial or industrial floor-cleaning equipment.
  • Experience performing basic preventative maintenance or minor repairs on vehicles, equipment, or machinery.
