Applitrack is seeking a Building Literacy Lead (BLL) in Minnesota to lead the implementation of Science of Reading practices and new literacy curriculum at an elementary level. The role provides guidance, resources, and PD to educators while coordinating with school leaders to ensure aligned literacy instruction.
The BLL will monitor data, support teachers with evidence-based practices, and participate in district-wide literacy initiatives for three years.
Position Title: Building Literacy Lead
Stipend: $3,000 ($1,000/year not to exceed 3 years); paid out of Read Act Literacy Aid
Reports to: Building Principal in collaboration with Skye Hoekstra & Caitlyn Willis
The Building Literacy Lead (BLL) will serve as a key support in the successful implementation of the Science of Reading practices and the onboarding of new literacy curriculum (Elementary) within their assigned school. This role will ensure that all educators receive the necessary guidance, resources, and professional development to align instructional practices with evidence-based literacy strategies. The BLL will act as a liaison between the district and their principal and school staff, providing leadership and support to ensure consistency and effectiveness in literacy instruction.
By establishing a Building Literacy Lead in each school, the district ensures a cohesive and well-supported implementation of high-quality literacy instruction, ultimately leading to improved student outcomes.
