Job summary

Cedar Rapids Community School District Roosevelt Middle School is seeking a Building Leadership Member (BLT) to collaborate with school administration on developing and evaluating the School Improvement Plan using the BLT framework and data-driven guidance.

The role requires leadership in PLCs, facilitation of professional learning, and coaching teachers toward equity-minded practices, with additional duties beyond the contract day. Up to 8 positions may be available at this middle school.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Standard Teaching License and have at least three years of teaching experience.
• Experience with equity-focused instruction and culturally responsive practices.
• Ability to train and coach teachers using adult-learning principles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with building administration to create, implement, and evaluate the School Improvement Plan using the BLT framework and data guide.
• Lead and facilitate Professional Learning Communities to address curriculum, assessment, instruction, and student achievement.
• Provide job-embedded professional development aligned with growth goals and monitor progress toward school targets.
