Job summary

Cedar Rapids Community School District is hiring a Building Leadership Member (BLT) to work with the building administrator to implement the School Improvement Plan using the BLT framework and data. The role emphasizes equity, coaching, and facilitating adult learning across staff.

The position will involve extra-duty hours beyond the contract, with ongoing professional development and annual evaluation to support growth and alignment to district goals.

Qualifications

• Holding a Standard Teaching License with three years of teaching experience (preferred in Cedar Rapids), and a commitment to equity and culturally responsive pedagogy.
• Ability to design, present, and facilitate adult learning experiences; mentor and coach teachers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with building administration to create, implement, and evaluate the School Improvement Plan using the BLT Framework and data such as the BLT survey.
• Facilitate professional learning communities (PLCs) and coach teachers to apply evidence-based practices; monitor progress toward school goals and growth targets.
