Job summary

Cedar Rapids Community School District is seeking a Building Leadership Member (BLT) to work with building administration on improving school performance through the BLT framework and data analysis. The role emphasizes equity, professional learning, and collaboration with teachers to enhance instructional practices.

The position is an extra-duty assignment with compensation of $500 annually, and requires a standard teaching license with three years of teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Standard Teaching License with three years of teaching experience (preferred in Cedar Rapids CCSD).
• Knowledge of the Iowa Core Standards and Standards-Based Grading.
• Ability to train and coach New Art and Science of Teaching.
• Willingness to be coached and to engage in reflective practice.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with building administration to create, implement, and evaluate the School Improvement Plan using the BLT Framework and data.
• Lead and facilitate PLCs to address curriculum, instruction, assessment, and student achievement.
• Co-create and monitor professional growth plans and opportunities for teacher development.
• Provide job-embedded professional development aligned to instructional growth goals.
• Analyze and interpret data to monitor progress toward school goals.
