Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions in Fort Greely, Alaska is seeking a custodial technician to maintain secure, clean facilities and perform routine cleaning tasks across installation buildings.

The incumbent will be responsible for dusting, washing, sanitizing, and related duties, supporting a service team in a challenging environment while complying with safety standards and security requirements.

Qualifications

• One year of industrial cleaning experience in multi-unit facilities.
• Must meet company physical and security requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret level security clearance.
• Ability to pass background check and drug testing.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.
• Good communication skills for a service team environment.

Job Overview

The incumbent will provide custodial services for installation facilities, ensuring surfaces are maintained free of soil, dust, and any other foreign matter.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:

• Maintains technical and non-technical buildings or premises in clean, sanitary, and orderly condition. - Performs any combination of duties such as dusting, washing, wiping, sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming, stripping, buffing, and sanitizing of floors, walls, windows, stairs, and stairwells, fixtures, and furniture as directed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Work includes washing, mopping, shampooing, applying cleaners and sterilizers, scrubbing and buffing floors, trash removal, and any other cleaning or sanitizing function.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

• One year of industrial cleaning experience (multi-unit buildings, commercial facilities, institutions, etc.) to include scrubbing or dusting surfaces, mopping, shampooing, applying cleaners and sterilizers, stripping/waxing and buffing floors, vacuuming, trash disposal and other cleaning functions.
• Must meet and maintain company physical and security requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the Secret level, as applicable to the position requirement.
• Ability to successfully pass any employment background check and/or drug testing required on the contract.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record as pertinent to the position. Must be insurable to operate company-leased vehicles.
• Must possess good communication skills for a service team environment.

Working Conditions:

• Travel and carrying supplies and equipment between buildings in alternating hot weather and very cold, windy weather.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical stamina and strength in all of its forms (endurance, temperature/climate, stress, etc.) is a basic requirement of this position. Have sufficient mobility to climb stairs, bend, carry, move furnishings, supplies and equipment.
