Job summary

Cascade Charter Township is seeking a Building Inspector/Plan Reviewer to review applications and plans and inspect building construction for code compliance throughout the Township’s jurisdiction.

Under the direction of the Director of Building Inspections, the role focuses on ensuring safe, compliant development; the position offers a pathway to registration and benefits after a probationary period.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (minimum 18 years of age).
• State of Michigan Registration as a code official or ability to acquire registration.
• Commercial inspection experience preferred.
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Review applications and plans for code compliance.
• Inspect building construction throughout the Township’s jurisdiction.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and regulations.
